Only perfectly cultivated grapes grown at Rio Vista Wines were used to craft this wonderful wine.  As you pour this classic Cabernet Franc into your glass, you will be lost in the aromas of jujube, currant, and cedar.  An essence of violets and chocolate will remind you of your most romantic dream. Upon tasting, you are treated to layer upon layer of blackberry, cherry, clove and cocoa that will delight every nook and cranny of your palate. The finish continues on for what seems like minutes, but your subconscious will beg you to take another sip before the last one even fades away.

Aromatics are the first thing air takes. This one never met any. 

This Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful dense purple and opens with aromas of ripe dark fruit and all-spice. On the palate, intense flavors of huckleberry, elderberry and plum mingle with lingering notes of sage, licorice and molasses. This is a full-bodied and well-structured red wine with soft tannins and a long, satisfying finish. No one grape variety grows better in Rio Vista’s glacial soils than that of the Cabernet Sauvignon.

With an opaque depth of red ruby color, a great overall balance of fruit, big-bodied, and a refined tannic and acidic structure, this estate Merlot is any fisherman's dream. In the aroma there is an essence of blueberry, red raspberry, dried cranberry and herbal spices. The fruit is integrated with aromatic cedar, black pepper, and nuances of sage and rosemary. Dark cherry and plum are this wine’s primary flavors with a very resolved, pleasant tannin structure.

This Malbec, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend features decadent notes of Luxardo cherries, crème de cassis, cola and prunes on a plush profile that evolves into a velvety finish. Wonderfully developed plum, leather, and vanilla aromas can be detected while swirling this wine in a glass. A significant amount of Cabernet Sauvignon was used for balanced acidity and smooth tanins – only the ripest estate-grown grapes made their way into the final blend, adding dimension and structure while maintaining an all-inclusive mouthfeel. 

Rio Vista Wines loves all of their residents, including the Great Horned Owl. The family of owls have stayed steadfast and true over the years. Think of those night shift, silent hunters while sipping this newest offering. Pair this delectable treat alongside wine-infused Anjou Pears over vanilla bean custard.  

This Rio Vista staple is a blend of Pinot Grigio, Gewurztraminer and Viognier. A crisp orange wine that is perfectly paired with spicy foods, summertime, beach days and well, anything. Delicious and original aromas of apricot, clementine, marzipan, dried grapefruit peel and crushed cranberry start the parade while tantalizing flavors develop in the glass of deep raspberry. The Pinot Grigio skin contact gives an otherwise crisp wine, a beautifully rich depth of character and color. Residual Sugars 1.0%

Our unabashed Spanish cowboy, so different in flavor and structure from our other wines.  Red plum, boysenberry and sweet earth round the front upper and lower palate. A varietally-correct structure directs the wine to the back palate. From there, it’s a wild ride of texture shooting in all directions. Dried tobacco leaf, fig, brown baking spice, vanilla and a hint of cedar linger on the finish. The grapes that adorn this beautiful wine were cultivated at Rio Vista Wines.

This luxurious estate blend of 50% Chardonnay, 25% Sauvignon Blanc, and 25% Viognier has notes of juicy meyer lemon, honeycrisp apple and pineapple upside down cake interwoven with buttered croissant creaminess and refreshing acidity. Described as luscious and vibrant, this smooth white blend is classically unforgettable. Residual Sugars 0.6%

This captivating wine tastes as beautiful as it looks and was created from 40% Barbara, 30% Malbec, and 30% Tempranillo. This wine offers an all-encompassing, seductive nose of sweet cherry and wild berries. Specific notes of strawberry, baked rhubarb and caramelized blood orange beautifully entangle the senses while subtle, underlying flavors of pomegranate, black cherry, and rhubarb flirt with the palate. Extended skin contact makes this wine heavily pink with a nice tannic structure. Residual Sugars 1.5%
